Fried Durian Rice

Yep, you read that right ;))
Fried Durian Rice!
That was our dinner at home last night.
Grandma boasted that this unique dish was what fed my dad and his siblings during their growing years.
And now, the recipe has been handed to my mum to continue...
What to do, it's dad's fav dish...
So when there's Durian at home this is what we have for dinner
!

The ingredients;
1) Durian
2) Overnight rice (cos' it's harder)
3) A lil' bit of salt as you like it
4) A lil' bit of oil

One of the easiest dish to cook up. Just throw all the ingredient together and mix well.
Just curious (cos' so far I've never heard anyone else say so), any of you eat your Durian this way too :-/

Wow sedap tuuu! I love it.

But flo, you're not alone.. there are people out there eat plain rice with durian ONLY!

My relatives in West Malaysia do that.. especially during durian season.. they eat it as their "lauk".

I love durian but I never fancied eating it with rice. That's my mom's job!! LOL! She loves eating durian with rice and cili padi. But the recipe does look interesting and I'd give it a try, only if your mom or nenek masak la! :P

Kadazanmonk just arrived exhausted fr Lourdes but have sth 2 say: You forgot 2 mention the hot black tenom coffee with two teaspoon sugar that compulsorily accompanies every Nasi goreng Durian meal. The Nasi goreng durian meal will be more delicious with a Super Hot sweetened black coffee:-)
