Eating meat again! *yay*

Can't exactly remember how it all started, but about 4-5 years back, me and a group of church friends (8-10 of us) came up with ways to make our 'Lent' more meaningful. We made a pact to NOT EAT MEAT (chicken flavoured soup or snack are forbidden as well) from Ash Wednesday onward till after Holy Saturday mass was over. Almost 40 days of no meat... sounded challenging but do-able to us back then.
Just after 3 days of NO MEAT... Boy oh boy! Temptation was everywhere...
It's funny that before the 'NO MEAT' period, I find myself eating seafood weeks on end without much problem... BUT after entering the 'NO MEAT' period... WHOAAAAH! That's what rules do to you huh...
No matter... manage to complete our NO MEAT ABSTINENCE again this year. Goody goody :)
However, much to my surprise... on Easter Sunday morning (NO MEAT rule officially lifted), when all my friends went straight to ordering 'Mee-hoon sup kalabau' (Noodle soup with Buffalo meat) a.k.a Ngiuchap, at Loi Hin restaurant in Donggongon... guess what I craved...
Banana fritters and Sweet Potato fritters. Hmmmm. (-_-)

yup, guess who .. someone who loves cheesecake, hate veggie, got a cat and dog and tonight flying back to kk after 3days outstation in labuan....
