Each time he makes a bold move to get within reach, a high pitched hiss can be heard from Miss Comot (another stray cat hinting at adopting us!).
I’d love to wait out their courting games and see whether Ekew manage to win her, but I got to go to work.
Start engine… and off Miss Comot go with a love-sick Ekew following not far behind!

Oh my goodness! I just looove this shop full of cats stuff!!! If only by some chance I strike the jackpot or win some four digits lottery tomorrow, I’d buy one each of the items from Hikosen Cara :-)
I’ve taken photos of Hikosen Cara branch in Asia City Complex (October 2007 entry – Weekend Findings) and I’m happy to say I’ve captured some photos from this branch in City Mall (Kota Kinabalu) as well hehehe… It’s on the 3rd floor. You can’t miss it on the left side from the escalator.
Check out the cute catty items they have… I simply adore the pillow-case and the bedroom slipper (cost RM60++/set)! AawwW shuck!

Garfield?

I was going through my 2006 photo collections this evening and saw these photos, one of my many favourites! I got acquainted with this lazy, huge, seriously adooooorable marmalade tomcat when I attended a friend's engagement last year.
Look at the position of his ears... Ooo he is verrrry annoyed with me.
I thought (still do!) he was absolutely the perfect cat to play GARFIELD!
Forced him to sit on my lap hehehe ... Doesn't he bear a remarkable resemblance to the animation Garfield?
In the two Garfield movies, they found the perfect dog to play Odie... but Garfield was still just an animation. Wait till the producer see fatty-boom-boom here *grin* ... awwww. He was quite heavy to carry too... look at the gird of him. Wish he was mine haha!

Stray pets

It’s a peculiar thing to realize that there will always be fresh supplies of stray cats and dogs adopting our home, before the last of our own pet die.
After the death of my beloved cat, Snowy, in 2004, I was crushed and thought not to keep any new cat for a while. But 2 weeks later, a cousin brought home a stray tabby kitten (whom we call Mew) inside his knapsack. The poor thing was mewing pitifully and we gave it a bowl of milk. From then on, the late Mew (died 4 months ago) stayed with us, gave us much cat-love, her fierce loyalty, and gave birth 4 times to provide us with more darling cats.
And now, as the number of cats begins to dwindle again, a new marmalade coloured cat has come to adopt us. We call him Oren for his colour.
When our 3 dogs died, leaving only Scoopy, two new stray dogs came to stay at our home to keep him company. One is Mr. Two-colour, and the other Miss Brown. Soon after, Miss Brown gave birth to a chubby white coloured pup. We should have known, with new stray dogs coming home to us, this probably hinted that Scoopy would be leaving us soon. And sure enough, last month Scoopy died, leaving the other 2 dogs and a pup in his place.
The chubby little pup is in dire need of a good bath, but its protective mum (Miss Brown) does not allow any of us to come too near her precious one… *GgRRrrrrrrrrrr* we get her hint.
Well, there is a belief that when animal comes to your home, they bring lucks to the family they adopt. In a way, it is convenient for us never having to go around looking for new pet as they’ll always come to us instead.
The question that comes to my mind is that, who were the strays' previous owner? Did they even have owners before coming to us? Is there someone missing or looking for them? Anyhow, they are ours now as much as we are theirs ...

Calling all CAT PEOPLE! (can also be mighty useful to yea who has cat-loving/crazy-friends).
Maybe this is old news to some, but for my fellow cat lovers who has not discovered 'HIKOSEN CARA --Brand of Smiles', well... I've got stupendous news! :-D
Hikosen Cara -- Strictly for cat people :-) I just looove the smiley cat cartoon *awwww*...
CAT soft toys, bags, wallet, coin-purse, slippers, pillowcase, children clothes, shirts, door deco and so much more can be found in this amazing shop! ... My eyes almost bulged out hehehe... See for yourself from these photos I excitedly captured *grin*
Alas... I couldn't get closer to these treasures (T_T) ... the shop was still closed although it was already 11.00am++ on a Saturday! I gave it another half an hour to open, but tough luck *duh!* Will try again next week hmmmm... Perhaps this is a good thing, the shop being close I mean. I might just run amok in there! With our salary just banked in $$$$$$$ ka-ching ... *Phew*
** TIP! -- Any of these stuffs will guarantee a *gu-gu-ga-ga* reaction effect on your cat-loving/crazy friends. Purr-fect as a gift ... birthdays or *ehem* as a Christmas gift :-) Can never be too early to start Christmas-gift shopping y'know... ;-)
