Birthdays are a BIG thing in our family :) It's a great valid reason to gather at our grandparent's, and catch up on each other's life. And of course, a CAKE will be inevitable hehe...

And so that is why last Friday, yours truly together with Aunty F, Aunty Jewel and Astrid were sent out to check out the latest eatery launched in KK, The Roof Restaurant, located at the top floor of the Imperial International Hotel in Warisan Square.
The hard facts;
Where? The Roof Restaurant, 11th Floor Imperial International Hotel
Serve what? International Buffet Dinner
When? Every Wednesday, Friday & Saturday - 6.30pm to 10.30pm
How much? RM28++ per person
Our verdict?
Firstly, you need to know that the restaurant is on the 11th floor (no signboard or banner to inform customer of this info at the hotel lobby! You have to ask apparently hmmm.) But the elevator only reach up to the 10th floor! Do not be alarm like us (we thought we got on the wrong elevator) because once on the 10th, you need to climb a semi spiraling stair to reach the 11th Floor, where the restaurant is.
The Roof has a nice semi formal atmosphere, and you have a choice of sitting in an air-conditioned room, or alfresco. Good place for family and friends to go to.
The food... good and tasty enough for the price offered (I like the fish fillet and carrot cake most!). Our only grouch is that the servers took aaaaaages to top up and as we observed, may have caused some patron to miss out on some of the goodies *grrr*
Here's what we ate... What's shown below is like 78% of the goodies offered there.
The toilet was clean thankfully. Overall, we gave The Roof 3.5/5 star rating.

Now, now Kadazanmonk. :p We are women. We have to dress up, get all primped! The food wasn't that great really. I've tasted better. -.- I'd have Supertanker food any day.

Yeah, that's right Astrid :) Food tasting outting is good enuf reason to dress up hehhe... if not our nice nice clothes will just collect dust in the cupboard :P
